American Cockroach Life Cycle. Within (3-7) days after mating, American cockroach females produce egg cases known as oothecae.

Each ootheca contains approximately 15 embryos. Adult females produce between (6-14) oothecae in one lifetime.

Types of Cockroaches

We must look high and low.

American cockroaches will stay right out in the open in crawlspaces, basements, and attics.
German Cockroaches will prefer dark, damp, confined spaces like cracks and crevices.
Use a mirror. We use mirrors to look on top of objects we cannot reach, such as the top of a tall refrigerator.
Look under tables and shelves by angling a mirror in those areas. using the mirror and light, we can reflect light into hidden areas where cockroaches often harbor.
